All That and a Bag of Chips
SAUGATUCK, Mich. (WZZM) -- American's consume more than one billion pounds of potato chips every year. Those salty snacks are so popular a Saugatuck store is opening on this occasion.
"It's All That and a Bag of Chips!" That's the name of the store.
And what better day to open than on National Potato Chip Day.
This salty snack came about by accident after a chef tried to get back at his boss for sending the potatoes back to the kitchen.
He demanded the chips be thinner so he fried them to mock his manager--and chips were born.
But the chips at All That and Bag of Chips are no mistake. You won't find Lays or Fritos at this store. They search out rare chips you can't buy anywhere else in the state. Chips by Larry the Cable Guy, fried jalapenos, even healthy chips if there is such a thing.
The store also carries dozens of made in Michigan products like dips and sauces
