FREMONT, Mich. (WZZM) -- Workers are cleaning up the damage left after a van caught fire in the parking lot of a Fremont drug store, destroying the vehicle and damaging the business.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Rite Aid on Main Street.

Witnesses say a van parked adjacent to the store caught fire.  The flames burned away a portion of the store's awning sign and damaged windows and the parking lot.

In video provided by WZZM 13 viewer Alex Flynn, an SUV parked next to the van managed to back out of its spot, but was smoking from the heat of the fire.

Store employees say the business was evacuated at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.  The store reopened a short time after the fire was out.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
