KENT COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM) -- Detectives are looking for one of two suspects in a string of vehicle break-ins targeting third shift workers.
Kent County Sheriff's Deputies believe Emmanuel Ventura of Comstock Park and Angel Osorio of Saranac are responsible for thefts from vehicles parked outside businesses in Plainfield and Cascade townships. Investigators are still trying to track down Osorio.
The crimes happened over the past four months. Detectives say the suspects would take purses and wallets and use the victims' credit cards to buy gift cards and fuel.
Workers at Trademark Die and Engineering believe the same thieves were also siphoning gas from their vehicles.
Deputies have recovered some of the $5,000 worth of stolen property, but a .40 caliber handgun remains missing. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345.
