OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Three people are being treated for non life-threatening injuries following an accident on M-57.
The accident happened around 1:50 p.m. Friday at M-57 and Podunk Avenue NE, near the Kent and Montcalm County line.
Kent County Sheriff's Deputies tell WZZM 13 an eastbound silver car had come to a stop while the driver was waiting to turn left onto Podunk Avenue. An eastbound pick-up truck driver did not notice the stopped car and rear-ended the silver car.
The force of the crash caused the pick-up truck to roll over into a ditch. Two people in the silver car and one person in the pick-up truck were hospitalized.
AeroMed was initially put on standby for the accident but called off.
One lane of M-57 was briefly closed but the road has reopened.
