ALLEGAN, Mich. (WZZM)-- A standoff with police is over on the west side of  Allegan.

Officers responded to the area of Ely Street and Grove Street Monday morning after the 53-year-old resident called 911, threatening suicide.

That same man threatened suicide back in March.  After that incident, authorities removed the man's guns from his home.

At about 10:30 a.m., the man inside the home came out with his hands in the air.  He was taken into custody without incident.  No shots were fired during the standoff and the man is now undergoing an evaluation.

The Allegan Prosecutor's office will determine if any charges will be filed.
