CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES
Fresh Strawberries-larger ones if you can find them
Chocolate Bars or Chips-your choice as to what you like
Put strawberries into a large bowl of water to clean. Put them individually out on a towel or paper towels on the cupboard to completely dry, preferable several hours or overnight.
Melt chocolate in a double boiler on the stove or if you prefer, in a microwave, one minute at a time, until melted.
Make sure you have a large piece of wax paper or parchment paper laid out ahead of time before dipping the berries.
Holding the berries by the stem, dip into the warm melted chocolate and put on the paper. Let them set until firm. At this point, if you prefer, you can drizzle other melted chocolate on them as a decoration.
After all chocolate is set, the berries can be put on a pretty plate for serving. I keep the berries in a cool place but do not put mine in the refrigerator.
