GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A federal appeals court has denied a request by prosecutors to extend the sentence of a man convicted of kidnapping.
Rami Saba is serving a 32 year prison sentence in connection with the disappearance of Donald Dietz in 2007.
Dietz is from Ionia County and was known in the area as the "Bicycle Man." Saba was convicted of kidnapping Dietz, but a body was never found.
Prosecutors wanted the sentence changed to life in prison, but the appeals court says there's no evidence linking his disappearance to a death.
