UPDATE AT 9:35 P.M. (WZZM) -- Michigan State Police have canceled an Amber Alert for a Paw Paw boy after he returned home.

Ryan William Mercie, 12, returned to his home around 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from troopers.

PAW PAW, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Michigan State Police Paw Paw post has issued an Amber Alert for a missing Van Buren County boy.

The subject of the Amber Alert is Ryan William Mercie, 12, a white male born 7/30/2000. Mercie is 5'4", 104 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Mercie's last known location was at Paw Paw Middle School in Van Buren County. He was last seen wearing a red zip-up hooded sweatshirt, red t-shirt, blue jeans, white and silver tennis shows, and a red and gray backpack. Mercie rides a black and white Schwinn mountain bike.

Anyone with information on Ryan William Mercie's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
