(WZZM) - The Grand Rapids Griffins completed a furious third period rally to eliminate Toronto and advance to the AHL's conference finals for just the third time in franchise history.

Trailing 3-1 in Game 6 with just over ten minutes to play in regulation, the Griffins rattled off three unanswered goals to win 4-3, and take the series 4-2.

East Grand Rapids native Luke Glendening netted the game winner with 4:03 remaining when he jammed in a rebound in front of Marlies goalie Drew McIntyre.  It was Glendening's fifth goal of the playoffs.

Tomas Tatar scored twice for the Griffins who will host Oklahoma City in the Western Conference Finals starting Friday night in Grand Rapids.

The Griffins outshot the Marlies 30-16.
