(WZZM) According to the Centers for Disease Control, America is not getting any healthier.
This week in a report findings show that about six in 10 people in the US are either overweight or obese and a lot of people are smoking, drinking heavily or not exercising.
Findings include, 20% of adults smoke and less than half tried to quit in the past year, only one in five adults met federal guidelines for aerobic and strenght training exercise, and one in three adults was completely inactive.
These bad lifestyle choices lead to higher rates of heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses.
There is a bright spot - in young adults, there was a decline in smoking by about two percent.
