  • GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A four foot pet python that disappeared from a Grand Rapids' family's car while they were eating dinner at a KFC, has been found.

As it turns out, the python named Bianca did not escape through the open car window, but instead came slithering out from under the dash late Monday night.

The snake's owner tells WZZM 13 she was driving to pick up her fiance when she felt something funny on her foot.

Turns out it was Bianca unharmed.

Kent County Animal Control says most exotic animals would rather retreat than confront a person.

"If the snake is a python they are normally non aggressive as long as you leave them alone, so just maintain a distance, contact animal control, then allow us to go in and capture and confine it," explains Joe Dainelis of the Kent County Animal Control.

If you ever need to call Kent County Animal Control, the number is (616) 632-7300.
