ALLENDALE, Mich. (WZZM) -- Who doesn't love a good comeback? There's a comeback for a Grand Valley State football player this fall that's much bigger than sports.
Alton Voss is making a comeback in life.
Once a highly touted high school quarterback in Florida, drug addiction cost him a full-ride scholarship at the University of South Florida.
Voss has been going through rehab in Argentina and will join the Lakers as a 24-year-old walk-on this fall, thanks in large part to the police officer that arrested him, an officer that lives here in West Michigan.
Voss spoke with WZZM 13 about his turnaround in the video posted above.
