HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- West Michigan's newest craft brewery will open July 5th in Holland.
Big Lake Brewing is located in Suite 4 at 977 Butternut Drive. It will open its doors at noon on Friday.
The beer menu will include traditional styles of beer: a porter, strong ale, IPA, and a wheat ale are all planned to be on tap at the opening. The owners say they also love trying beers containing exotic or surprising ingredients. They will also serve wine produced on-site.
Big Lake Brewing's owners, Greg Mackeller, Travis Prueter, and Nic Winsemius, originally founded the LLC in 2009. Since then, the trio, who all work in West Michigan as engineers, has been saving up needed capital to open a public taproom.
Big Lake Brewing will not serve food, but guests are welcome to bring in food from nearby locations to enjoy with their beverages.
BLB does not have a website, but encourages people to find them on Facebook. In the weeks following the opening, they plan to be open on Friday and Saturdays, with expanded hours with increased production.
