GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Grand Rapids Police have arrested a teen for a January murder.
Devonte Warren, 17, from Grand Rapids resident was arraigned this afternoon on charges of Open Murder, Conspiracy to Murder, Felony Firearm, and being a Habitual Offended, 2nd.
Warren is accused of shooting and killing Gregory J. Woods, Jr. on January 8th in the 700 block of Neland SE. Woods had been in the basement of the home with friends when he went to answer a knock at the door. Witnesses told police they then heard a series of gunshots and Woods was found with several wounds. Woods died at the hospital.
Warren has been in custody since January 15th on unrelated charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery, and Perjury.
