(WZZM) - Hundreds of people have contacted us about fireworks in your neighborhood, and police tell us they've been taking a lot of complaints about the noise as well.
Police in several jurisdictions say there is not a final count yet, but they estimate this holiday has been filled with more complaint calls than last year. They're happy to report no major problems or injuries, just a lot of headache; running around so much.
"It went late last night," said Becky Jurczscyn in Stanton. "They were randomly going off all over the lake property... did they keep us up late at night? Yeah."
"We heard fireworks until probably 3 a.m. and it was great!" said Angela Minard of Grand Rapids. "Good safe fun. Everybody stayed entertained, everybody stayed safe, and it was a blast. Literally."
There's still more noise to come. In most places, the big fireworks are permitted through Friday night. Many people also tell us, they've been saving their's for tonight, because they took the family to the bigger shows for July 4.
