GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Habitat for Humanity held a special groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday to mark the start of construction on a home dedicated to late journalist Andy Angelo.
The home is located in the Roosevelt Park neighborhood and the build site is called "The House That Andy Built."
Angelo was a respected West Michigan journalist with the Grand Rapids Press and community advocate who died last year at the age of 55 due to respiratory complications.
Work on "The House that Andy Built" started in June, but excavation work is complete and the home now has its foundation.
More than 150 volunteers have signed up to participate in this build. It should take about 45 days to complete to work.
