GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Grand Rapids Police have arrested two men in connection with a double murder last September.
Felix Reyes-Santos and Alvero Carillo-Mendez were killed on September 3rd at about 2:00am in the area of Burton Street, west of Division. A third man, Baldomeo Perez-Perez was wounded in the face.
Police say that Michael Tarris-Rashad Norris has been charged with two counts of Felony Murder and one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, as well as a Felony Firearm charge. Manuel Antonio Rosado has been charged with three counts of Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed and being a Habitual Offender.
Norris is also being charged with shooting two other people that same night near Griggs Street SW and Buchanan Ave. At about 3:20am on September 3rd, Cesar Reyes-Rojas and Ariel Vasquez were also shot. Norris faces two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder in that case.
Both were arraigned Monday before District Court Judge Ben Logan. Their preliminary exams will be held in Judge Logan's court at 8:30 AM on July 26.
