WHITEHALL, Mich.-Whitehall Police say a medical problem may have played a role in a cemetery crash.

Officers say around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, a truck driven by an 86-year-old man from Manistee veered off Colby Street and into a cemetery, where it hit a tree. The truck rolled onto the driver's side, coming to rest at the edge of a five-foot retaining wall.

Traffic was detoured as White Lake firefighters and paramedics freed the driver from the truck. The man was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Eagle Towing and Whitehall Public Works helped clear the vehicle using heavy machinery.
