Bike Time is one of the big draws of Muskegon.
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- Workers setting up Muskegon Bike Time got an early start Wednesday morning to try and beat the heat.
The men setting up tents and fencing wanted to get the majority of their work done before the sun climbed directly overhead.
Workers say the heat radiating off the asphalt was extreme. "I heard it was like 100, with the blacktop and everything in the sun," worker Zach Wiegand says.
Worker Deangelo Jordan tries to motivate himself while working outside. "It is bearable, it is bearable," Jordan says.
A heat advisory remains in effect for West Michigan until Thursday night and temperatures are forecast to reach the 90s Thursday, with a heat index near 100.
