HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) -- French fries, pulled pork, barbeque sauce, and cheese; put them all together and you have what they're calling "redneck fries" at this year's Ottawa County Fair.
The special French fry plate is one of several unique foods at the fair, which opened this week. There is also an authentic German pretzel, colored kettle corn, and crab Rangoon.
"It gives people the chance to try foods they've never tried before, it gives them a chance for that once-a-year junk food they're really looking forward to," says Laura Cramer, Ottawa County Fair treasurer.
The Ottawa County Fair has more than 40 food vendors this year. You can sample all of the treats at the fairgrounds, located at 1286 Ottawa Beach Rd. The fair runs through Saturday.
