GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - If you love jazz music, mark your calendar for this weekend-- the second annual Grand JazzFest is coming to downtown Grand Rapids.
The two-day event features live music from talented artists from all over. Best of all, it is free.
Organizer Molly Klimas says festivals of this type are common in other cities around the country, but are new to West Michigan. She believes Grand JazzFest has wide appeal even for those who don't think they like jazz music. Klimas says the event is also a great opportunity for the community to support downtown businesses.
Grand JazzFest will be held in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, at Rosa Parks Circle, Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18. Peformances start at noon both days. More information, including the schedule of performers, can be found on the event website here.
