GRAND RAPIDS, (WZZM) - It has been almost two weeks since two young teenagers from Mt. Pleasant went missing. They were found in Chicago.

The man, who spotted the teenagers, called the police then contacted private investigator, Mike Cook, who had been working the case in West Michigan.

Private Investigator, Mike Cook, was working the case of the missing Mt. Pleasant teenagers, Jayden Thomas and Braxton Wood, when he got a call from a Chicago tipster.

"He seen the report this morning on Good Morning America and did a double take because he was positive he saw Braxton throwing some items away at a gas station."

Wood, just 14 years-old, ran away with his 13 year-old girlfriend, Jayden Thomas, taking the family SUV.

"From what the parents said, it was a pretty intense romantic relationship for that age."

With his tipster on the line, Cook asked the caller to take a picture of the plates, "I saw that picture and felt so much better; I had a great feeling about it."

Police picked up the teenagers, and Cook called the family.

Cook says, "I could feel the sighs come out then, of course they were emotional they were crying, it was a great experience."

Cook says teenage love appears to be the motivation to run away. Cooks says the family didn't comment but knows what he'd do if it were his son.

"He wouldn't see daylight for awhile and he'd be home schooled."

The teenagers could expect charges as early as Monday.
