(WZZM) -- The so-called "Romeo and Juliet" teenagers who ran away from home together, now can't have any type of contact with each other.
The two faced a probate judge today separately.
14 year old Braxton Wood and 13 year old Jayden Thomas ran away from Mount Pleasant.
After nearly two weeks, they were found in Chicago. They face charges of running away from home. While they can return to school they have to wear a GPS device.
During their hearings, neither teenager offered an explanation for what happened. But their families spoke after they left the courtroom.
Sarah Wood, "We appreciate the media's response in this case, we appreciate their part in helping us get the kids home, it's a really hard time for us right now, we do want to thank everybody, but we would appreciate the privacy."
Dawn Peyton says, "The family really needs their privacy to try and put these kids lives and families back together."
It's not clear if or when either teenager will face criminal charges. Both are scheduled to be back in court later this month.
