Grand Rapids (WZZM) - In Michigan, 180,000 older adults had Alzheimer's Disease in 2010. That's a six percent increase from 2000 according to the Michigan Alzheimer's Association.
Earlier this year, Pine Rest opened a new Center to help patients suffering from dementia.
The Van Andel-Cook Center for Dementia and Geriatric Behavioral Health opened in late June. Patients were moved into the center in July.
