COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WZZM)- The West Michigan Whitecaps celebrated their 20th anniversary this year, and saw big gains in revenue despite missing out on the playoffs.
The club's game attendance just narrowly missed the goal set by Whitecaps Vice President of Baseball, Jim Jarecki, in April. At the start of the season, Jarecki said he hoped the club would bring in 380,000 fans. The season closed with 377,948 fans throughout the season, which was nearly 18,000 more than in 2012.
