Barton Twp., Mich. (WZZM)  - At a news conference in White Cloud, the Newaygo County Sheriff's Department provided more answers on the finding of Amber Rose Smith.

DNR officers found Amber at approximately 1:40pm by a DNR Conservation Officer Jeff Ginn. She was found on the edge of a two-track near 12 Mile Road and Cedar Avenue, about 1 3/4 mile southeast of her home. She was standing and alert. Officers say she was shaken and startled when they all started cheering when they found her.

Amber Rose is being treated at Spectrum Health in Big Rapids for minor bumps and scratches.  She is expected to be fine and released to her family soon.

Her father, Dale Smith and Diane Smith talked to the media at the hospital.  They said they are grateful to all the people who helped look for her and relieved she is okay.
