GRAND RAPIDS - The site http://www.healthcare.gov where people sign up for health insurance, is still very, very slow. The site went live October 1, and many people in Michigan, and across the country, are facing challenges logging in and shopping for insurance.
Cherry Street Health Services, the lead agency for enrollment in west Michigan, said Thursday they have yet to successfully enroll anyone.
Don Hazaert runs a group called Michigan Consumers for Health Care, one founded to "address the opportunities provided by" Obamacare. He told WZZM 13 Thursday, "A White House spokesperson said it is working around the clock to, in her words "improve the consumer experience."
There's a new nationwide poll out about the health insurance marketplace. The Associated Press found that 40 percent of Americans think the online launch of the insurance markets has not gone well. 20 percent said it's gone somewhat well...and 30 percent were not sure. Just 7 percent said the launch had gone "very well" or "somewhat well."
