HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) U.S. 31 in Holland is back open following a crash involving a semi-truck and a car.
It happened Thursday night around 9 at the intersection of James Street and U-S 31.
Deputies say 57-year-old Jeffrey Howell of Wyoming stopped at the intersection, but continued through on a red light. He was hit by a semi truck.
Deputies say Howell was pinned in his car, and had to be extricated.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, but it is still under investigation.
