HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WZZM) - His passions are flying and his Hudsonville High School football team. Friday night, teenage pilot Jack Lindsay was able to combine his two loves.

Lindsay, a Hudsonville senior and recently licensed private pilot, recruited two other pilots, and before Friday's homecoming game against Grand Haven they flew a three-plane formation over the stadium. They wanted to fire up the crowd and the team.

"I'm one of the super fans," explains Lindsay, "Guys who dress up crazy and always cheer for everyone. I thought this would be a cool thing to throw into our routine. It's great to see everyone get pumped up about that and support the sports' teams."

The three-plane squadron overhead before the game may not be the key to victory, but after the flyover, Hudsonville defeated Grand Haven 28-17.
