GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two people spent a cold and rainy Halloween night trapped after a crash on a dead end street.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies believe the crash happened around 10 p.m. Thursday, however the couple wasn't helped until 8:15 a.m. Friday when a passing driver spotted the wreckage.

Investigators believe the driver Alonzo Martinez, 35, of Holland Township was headed eastbound on Ferris Street near Ravine View Drive when he drove off the road and into the woods.

Martinez was pinned in the vehicle. A passenger, Michelle Teffeteller, 32, of Holland Township was ejected. Both were wearing seat belts.

Martinez was air lifted to Spectrum Health and is listed in critical condition. Teffeteller is in serious condition at North Ottawa Hospital.

We'll have more details when they become available.
