Reeths-Puffer win titles at Marching Band Finals

DETROIT, Mich. (WZZM)- The Jenison, Reeths-Puffer, and Godwin Heights Marching Bands won state titles at Ford Field on Saturday.

Jenison won in Flight II and Reeths-Puffer in Flight III, and Godwin Heights in Flight IV at the 2013 MCBA Championship .

Reeths-Puffer performed Saturday morning and earned an overall score of 90.3 and took all caption music, visual and general caption awards. The band's performance is dedicated to paying tribute to President John F. Kennedy. 

Besides Reeths-Puffers win in Flight III, Byron Center and Cedar Springs finished fourth and sixth.

West Michigan was well represented in Flight IV.  Newaygo, Grant, and Comstock Park finished second, third, and fourth. Allegan, Belding and Kent City also finished in the top ten.

Flight I saw Rockford finish in third, Grandville in sixth, and Hudsonville in tenth.

Northview high school finished runner up to Jenison in Flight II.
