RAVENNA, Mich. (WZZM) -- Two Muskegon County women are charged with hiring a hitman.

Michigan State Police say a 51-year-old Ravenna man received information from a family member that his wife and her sister were attempting to arrange his death.

Vickie Brill and Diane Hart are being charged in the crimes.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives set up an undercover sting operation. Tuesday, an officer posing as a hitman contacted the two suspects and set up a meeting.

Wednesday, the undercover officer met the Ravenna women in a shopping center parking lot in Norton Shores. During the meeting, authorities say the suspects discussed the manner of death and payment for the murder contract.

Following the meeting, the women were arrested for solicitation to commit murder. They are lodged at the Muskegon County Jail awaiting charges.
