Diane Hart & Vickie Brill
MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP/WZZM) -- Two sisters in Muskegon County have been arraigned after authorities say they tried to hire a hit man to kill the husband of one of the women.
Diane Hart, 45, and Vickie Brill, 50, of Ravenna appeared in court Friday on solicitation to murder charges. A judge set $100,000 bond for each and said they'll get court-appointed lawyers.
Authorities say Hart's husband told police he learned from a relative about plans to kill him. A hearing is scheduled for Nov. 27.
Police say the women met Wednesday in a Norton Shores parking lot with an undercover officer. It was there that investigators say an agreement was reached. Prosecutors say $5,000 was to be paid for the killing, with jewelry used as a down payment.
