Three shot at downtown gas station in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WZZM)-  Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a report of fight with shots fired in the parking lot of Shakespeare's Pub located in the 200 block of E. Kalamazoo overnight.

It happened on Sunday morning right before 2 a.m. Additional gunshots were reported at the Shell gas station located in the 400 block of W. Michigan.

When Public Safety officers arrived, two men were found shot in the parking lot. The first victim, who is a 49 year-old male, sustained a non life threatening gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to Borgess Hospital.

The second victim, who is a 28 year-old male, was shot in the pelvis region and ankle. He was transported to Bronson Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

A third victim arrived at Bronson Hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg, arm and back.  The 24 year-old male is in stable condition and the injuries appear to be non life threatening.

Officers are looking for the suspect who is described as a black man, 25-30 years of age, short build wearing all back clothing and an orange hat. The suspect escaped the scene in a black midsize vehicle.
