Grand Rapids, MI-WZZM 13, the Gannett owned ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan is proud to have once again partnered with the U.S. Marines and their Toys for Tots campaign.

Viewers were encouraged to donate toys at locations throughout an eight county area. The program serves kids from infant to 16 years of age. Part of the WZZM 13 effort to collect toys includes the annual School Spirit Challenge. This year kids at 38 different schools demonstrated the true meaning of giving and raised more than eight thousand toys.

On Saturday December 21st, members of the WZZM 13 staff volunteered at Toys for Tots distribution sites in Grand Rapids. "It was so uplifting," says WZZM 13 Community Relations Director and Take Five and Company co-host, Catherine Behrendt. "This program gives parents the joy and dignity of selecting toys for their children. I was thrilled to be able to experience that with them.""
