MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM) - For the second time in just a few months, a Kent County Commissioner is in trouble.

6th District Commissioner Michael Wawee has been arrested and charged with obtaining money under false pretenses and converting $1,000 to $20,000 to his own use.

The money was allegedly taken from the Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids and Holy Cross Cemetery, where Wawee works as Family Services Consultant.

The crimes took place between January of 2012 and December of 2013. He was freed on a $1,000 bond.

2nd District Commissioner Gary Rolls resigned in December after being charged for having sex with a minor in 1994.
