Man's body pulled from Grand River

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in the Grand River near Jenison on Thursday.

Police said a man was walking his dog on a nature trail near the river at the end of Riverview Street, north of Baldwin Street in Georgetown Township, at about 1 p.m. when he spotted what he thought was a body in the river. He then called 911.

Investigators with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the recovered human remains appear to be a male who was about 6 feet tall and 157 pounds. 

Police say the man was 30 to 40 years old with brown hair and a gotee. He also has a tattoo on his upper right arm that reads "DRH" in black, Old-English font and a blue cast from his left hand to his left elbow.
