Charges filed after family dispute ends with shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Charges have been filed for two suspects by the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office after a shooting in Grand Rapids on June, 6 2017.

Eric Henriques faces assault with intent to murder,  possession of a firearm by a felon and felony firearm. 

A second suspect, Rhiannon Lee Henriques will be charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Grand Rapids police say the  45-year-old victim, is related to the suspect and is still in the hospital listed in stable condition.

The shooting is believed to be the result of a family dispute, police say. Both suspects are expected to be arraigned Thursday, June 7.
