Coast Guard Festival brings thousands to Grand Haven

Saturday, July 29

7:30 a.m.

The Tri-Cities Family YMCA invites you to join the fun in the Coast Guard Run presented by North Ottawa Community Health System.

There’s something for everyone from the avid racer to the occasional walker, with our  5K Run/Walk, 10K Run/Walk, the 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk and the Tot Trot obstacle course for ages 3-6.  All ages are welcome to participate, so bring your mom, dad, grandma and grandpa.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Grand Haven Lighthouse Quilt Guild is an active Quilt Guild of approximately 150 members. Our mission is to be a forum to exchange ideas and to provide information and education regarding quilting. In addition, quilts and contributions are donated to charitable organizations whose activities reflect the interests of the members.

10:30 a.m.

What a great way to celebrate summer! You are invited to honor the history and people of the U.S. Coast Guard. Come celebrate, and make this year’s Coast Guard Festival Kids Parade a memorable experience for participant and observer alike!

11:45 a.m.

Free hot dog lunch between the Chamber of Commerce and the Depot Museum.

1:30 p.m.

Cardboard Boat Races

8 p.m.

Captured Detroit ​- Journey Tribute Band on the Lake Trust Credit Union Waterfront Stage.
