An army of volunteers will fan out across the country Saturday, for Make a Difference Day.
The annual day of community service features people spending their time to help others and the communities they live in.
Some of the activities include painting houses, cleaning up neighborhoods, planting trees and feeding the hungry.
WZZM 13 will host an event at Kids' Food Basket, an organization that provides sack suppers to children in West Michigan who might not otherwise have an evening meal at home.
Bridget Clark Whitney from Kids' Food Basket says, "We're all about giving kids healthy nourishing meals each weekday, but the touch of love that comes along with it is within these decorated brown bags. Each one that comes to kids provides this touch of love that they know is coming from an individual in this community that cares deeply about them."
The event at Kids' Food Basket Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oak Industrial Drive.
Anyone is welcome to stop by on Saturday to drop off decorated bags.
