CLAYTON, GEORGIA - Wildfires are raging in the south and now Michigan is sending help. The Michigan DNR says they have sent more than 40 employees to the area like Ray Cole from Oceana County.
Cole is in Clayton, Georgia trying to contain the Rock Mountain Fire which encompasses more than 24,000 acres.
"We've been working the night shift down here, working 16 hour days, we start at 4 in the afternoon and work til 8 in the morning," says Cole.
Dry conditions and strong winds have hurt their progress and caused thousands of residents to evacuate. In Tennessee at least 3 people have been killed.
