No snow? No problem. This Grand Rapids man is making it

Mark Hughes makes snow for his front yard.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - It may be cold outside, but we haven't seen much snow yet. That isn't stopping this Grand Rapids man from having snow. When it's cold enough, he makes snow.

Mark Hughes lives off West Leonard, and he said he has been making snow in his yard for eight years. Hughes will even start making it as early as Halloween.

The idea came to Hughes when he worked at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, and the result has attracted many neighborhood kids over the years.

"The kids really like it," said Hughes. "Our yard is actually the bus stop for the whole neighborhood for Kenowa. So we get about 10-12 kids out every morning--right out in front--and it's just fun."
