MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MICH. - The Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office has charged an 18-year-old man in connection to the Muskegon Heights shooting that killed one man and injured a 7-year-old boy.
Gentle Jenkins, 18, is facing three felony charges in connection to the Ivory Avenue shooting from Sunday night, including carrying a concealed weapon, resisting and opposing a police officer and felony firearm.
The prosecutor's office says that Jenkins may be in court on Wednesday afternoon for arraignment.
The Sunday shooting left Cornelius "Nelly" Wallace dead and injured 7-year-old J'Anthony Bell. Bell was struck three times by stray bullets while he was outside playing some other neighborhood children.
The shooting was preceded by arguments between a number of adults in the area.
