MUSKEGON AND OCEANA COUNTY, MICH. - Investigators in two lakeshore counties are working to solve armed robberies at gas stations.
The first one happened in Twin Lake on July 10, at the J & H Family Store on Holton Road. The suspect is described by he Muskegon County Sheriff's Department as a white male between 5-feet and 5-feet-4-inches tall and possibly left-handed.
Deputies hope the clothing he had on helps to identify him.
Just north, in Oceana County, a similar robbery took place at the New Era Wesco. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19.
The male suspect fled from the store on foot. Police don't yet have photos to share.
Detectives in both counties are sharing information with each other, though they say it's too early to tell if the same person is responsible for both crimes.
