Arrest made after $1M in inventory stolen from business

KENT COUNTY, MICH. - An investigation has led to four arrests after $1,000,000 of inventory was stolen from a business warehouse in  Cascade Township.

Kent County Sheriff's department said water heaters from Bradford White were taken over several months from different locations.

Deputies stopped a couple of cars on Oct. 22, leaving the warehouse and recovered over $100,000 of additional tankless water heaters which had just been stolen.

Investigators were also able to recover over of $750,000 of the stolen water heaters from a barn and house in Ionia County and a house in Middleville.

The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Jason Vanleeuwen, Todd Reurink and Ryan Ruehs with Conducting a Criminal Enterprise and Jason Hoendervanger, 45 years old from Saranac, with breaking and entering a building related to the case.
