Bank robbed in Galesburg, police looking for suspect

A PNC bank in Galesburg was robbed.

GALESBURG, MICH. - UPDATE Dec. 18: Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the bank robbery. That suspect is also believed to be responsible for a robbery at a Comerica Bank in Kalamazoo. An additional suspect was located and is in custody. 

The suspects have been identified as Allen Francis Nutter, 56, and Donald William Guess, 45. 

ORIGINAL: The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 16 around 11:45 a.m. 

A man walked into the PNC Bank in on W. Michigan Avenue in Galesburg and passed a note to the teller demanding money. He indicated that he had a weapon, but none was seen. 

He then left with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing the scene in a gray or silver van. The getaway car was sitting in the bank parking lot with a getaway driver at the wheel. 

The suspect who went into the bank is described as a white man in his late 40s to mid-50s and he is about 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 with a slender build. 

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery who may have seen this vehicle or suspicious activity is encouraged to contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff Department at 269-383-8748 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
