GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A man already in prison for killing his half-brother, is facing a new charge in the murder of the victim's ex-girlfriend. 22-year-old Royale Runyon is currently serving at least 32 years in prison.
Runyon shot and killed his half-brother, Mahdi Hayes, on a Grand Rapids street. But police say Runyon was also a suspect in the shooting death of Hayes' ex-girlfriend, Eve Galloway, who was killed five days earlier.
Investigators say Galloway's son, who was a toddler at the time, was asleep in the apartment where the deadly shooting took place. They say Runyon used the same gun in both killings.
