Hoodie could help identify serial robber on the lakeshore

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MICH. - Police are hoping a serial armed robber's distinctive sweatshirt is familiar to someone in West Michigan.

The man is accused of robbing the J & H Family Store in Twin Lake on July 10; pulling off a very similar armed robbery at the New Era Wesco on July 19; and Friday, July 21, striking at the Wesco in Hesperia.

The man enters the gas stations early in the morning, after midnight and before 3 a.m. His height is estimated between 5-feet and 5'4".

Sheriff's detectives in Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo counties are working together to find him. In all three robberies, he has worn a distinctive black and white hooded sweatshirt with his face covered.

Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to call police.

Tips can be phoned into Muskegon County Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME. In Oceana County, call detectives at 231-873-2121. In Newaygo County, call Silent Observer at 231-652-1121.
