Kalamazoo: Traffic stop leads to gun, meth bust

KALAMAZOO, MICH. - Kalamazoo police officers conducting a early morning traffic stop on Sunday arrested a 34-year-old in possession of stolen handguns and meth.

Officers stopped a car on Mills Street near the Millerstreet Market shortly after 1:30 a.m. 

During the traffic stop, a K9 officer alerted police to possible narcotics in the car, so officers searched it and found two stolen handguns out of Kalamazoo County and what appeared to be methamphetamine. 

The suspect is not awaiting arraignment on a number of charges, including: carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, receiving and concealing stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
