Husband arrested on charge unrelated to wife's disappearance

PORTAGE, MICH. - A Portage man considered a person of interest in his wife's disappearance has been arrested on an unrelated charge.

Police say Christopher Lockhart was arrested Monday, July 17, for a traffic offense. We do not have many details surrounding the arrest, but authorities say he'll be in court tomorrow.

Lockhart's wife Theresa was last seen on May 18, 2017. Her car was later found a few miles away from her home. No arrests have been made in connection with her disappearance.

In early June, police cited lack of communication when they named Christopher as a person of interest her disappearance. Then on July 6, he was arrested for malicious destruction of property.
